About this piece
A magenta and orange hand block printed Maheshwari silk suit set with a printed top, bottom and dupatta.
Maheshwari fabric is handwoven in Maheshwar, a temple town on the banks of the Narmada in Madhya Pradesh. It blends silk and cotton, so it feels light and comfortable but still has a soft, elegant sheen. The prints are stamped by hand with carved wooden blocks, so every piece has its own small variations.
