About this piece
A grey and ivory Chanderi silk saree with hand block prints.
Chanderi is named after a small town in Madhya Pradesh where weavers have worked this fabric for centuries. It is a light silk and cotton weave with a gentle sheen and a slightly sheer finish, so it drapes softly and never feels heavy. The prints are stamped by hand with carved wooden blocks, so every piece has its own small variations.
Care
Dry clean preferred. Do not bleach, dry in shade and iron on low heat.
